Turkey Run Time !
As Coach Learn sums it : “ The 2023 Turkey Run was excellent ! We had a perfect morning in the park for the run with a great turnout of friends and family .” The winner finished in 2:00 to take home the Fastest Time Medal . The Most Improved Medal was awarded to a boy who finished with a time of 2:01 , a 16-second improvement from his previous personal best time . And of course , plenty of chocolate turkeys were awarded to all the second grade participants in this Saint David ’ s holiday tradition !
Year 12 for Horizons
Horizons at Saint David ’ s had a great summer in 2023 , with 114 boys enrolled in the 6-week project-based educational program . Highlights included swim and surf lessons , special programming through CityLax , Codespeak Labs , Quiver Farms and Root Catalyst , and NYC experiences such as field trips to the Intrepid Museum and Yankee Stadium . “ None of this would have been possible without the dedicated teachers and staff , or the 27 Horizons and Saint David ’ s alumni who volunteered their time and expertise ,” said Horizons at Saint David ’ s Executive Director , Nicole Ransone .
