HEALTH TIP
Baptist Health
When can I take the baby outside?
• Fresh air is good for babies. Dress your baby
appropriately for the weather and you can go
outside almost any time unless your physician
has advised otherwise.
• In dressing your baby, remember that
babies tend to lose body heat more rapidly
than adults. If the weather conditions and
temperature are uncomfortable for you, it’s
uncomfortable for your baby and should be
avoided for extended periods.
• Try to avoid taking your baby to crowded
places where they could be exposed to people
who might be sick.
At Baptist Health, our experienced team is here
to help guide you with advice on pregnancy,
prenatal and newborn care, your first days at
home and more.
