We are continuing with our Duke of Edinburgh, our older girls are nearing completion of their Bronze award and were away their final expedition walk, but due to unforseen circumstances one of the girls had to pull out. The girls are now looking for another company to share the walk with as they need to have 4 to walk. Fingers crossed that they manage this session. Plenty of badgework, fun and craft for the girls this year

Some of the older Boys who are working for their Duke of Edinburgh ' s Bronze Award have been attending on Wednesday nights, training for their expedition, trying to build up their fitness level for their physical achievement and learning some first aid. Great attempts at putting slings on!!! Just don ' t break your arm in the near future! Their first outing on the hills was a washout, but hopefully their next one will be blessed with better weather.
Some Juniors and Anchor Boys spent a busy and fun day at the David Livingstone Centre in Blantyre to mark the 200 th Anniversary of his birth. They played games, made things and learned some African choruses.( Don’ t ask us now what they were!) The sun shone and we had to make sure that we had sunscreen on.
