Several schools were represented at the training day and best practice was shared by students and teachers. The team decided on a strategy to continue the good work begun in Anti-Bullying Week, setting five short-term and mid-term targets to be achieved in planning, reviewing policy and implementing awareness-raising events to make all students and teachers re-examine their approaches to bullying. This will be a student-led initiative to bring more life to our whole-school approach to bullying behaviour. Our five young leaders will be visible in the school, available to help anyone who needs it. While we are fortunate to have a wonderfully caring student body, the team will be proactive in dealing with issues. They will liaise with their co-ordinating teacher and senior management to plan our best way forward in tackling the ever-present problem.
