The Irish Council for Civil Liberties

Human Rights Competition

Left: Congratulations to Saoirse Lawlor whose song “What’s Wrong with the World Today” was awarded second place in the fourth ICCL/Youthreach Human Rights competition organised by The Irish Council for Civil Liberties. Her song explores important human rights issues affecting people in our world today.

Right: The Irish Council for Civil Liberties Executive Director, Liam Herrick presents a special ‘Commendation’ to Jodie Cleary (Youthreach Leixlip). Jodie was given a special ‘Commendation’ for her excellent scaled down instillation ‘People – Not Pavement’ in relation to this year’s Youthreach-ICCL Human Rights Competition. The standard was extremely high and there was a great selection of projects submitted.

Wicklow Youthreach students engaging in team building activities - As part of their induction into the Youthreach Programme the new students competed in an Olympic Handball tournament against the second year students. Great fun with a healthy dose of competitive spirit!
