Launch of Employee Assistance Programme for All KWETB Staff

KWETB is delighted to announce that we have purchased an Employee Assistance Programme that all staff can access confidentially and free of charge.

The service will provide counselling on a wide range of work and personal related issues including critical incidents, trauma, financial, relationships, bereavement, stress, conflict, and health.

It will be available 24/7 for 365 days a year. This service is also available to your direct family members. The service includes up to 6 counselling sessions per 12 month period for staff where needed.

Head of Employee Relations, Áine O’ Sullivan stated to us that the health and well-being of our staff is of the utmost importance. Life brings many challenges and it is normal that we would all need such supports to be available to us from time to time. It is vital to KWETB that we provide modern, appropriate and professional supports for our staff.

Áine advised that because our work and personal lives can be intense at times she would strongly encourage all staff to have a look at the Employee Assistance Service website employeesfirst.ie to inform ourselves of what is on offer and maybe to advise a colleague in need of the services available.

A leaflet with information on the service is included here to the right and will also be distributed through KWETB over the coming weeks.
