KWETB was delighted to host an in-service day for our Special Needs Assistants on the 6th January 2017. This was the first time that KWETB SNAs were brought together for a focused in-service day.
The School Principal Group and Human Resources Department planned the event. The aim of the in-service was to connect, to acknowledge and support the work of SNAs in our ETB. Presenters included Rory O’ Toole (Director of Schools), Áine O'Sullivan (Employee Relations), Jacinta Kitt (External presenter on Workplace Relationships) and Pat Devaney (Educational Phycologist).
The feedback from the day was very positive and KWETB look forward to building on this day and holding future in-service for SNAs.
Without SNAs many of our students would be unable to avail of education within their neighbourhoods and communities. The importance of this cannot be overstated and we wish to thank our SNAs for coming out on the last day of Christmas school closure and for their great work.
