About this Transnational Meeting...

Malopolska School of Economics in Tarnów,
Poland hosted 3 rd Transnational Meeting of
partners from Italy, Portugal and Turkey,
who are participating in the Kiitos@21st
Century Preschools Project. The project is
financed by the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2
Strategic Partnership.
Kiitos@ 21stCentury Preschool is an Early Second Language Learning (ESLL) project that aims at
promoting high quality early childhood education in European countries. The project combines various
methods of pedagogical support for the general development of children and it prepares them for the
challenges of the 21st century. The meeting was attended by 20 people. We were honoured with the
presence of the Ponte de Sor Mayor, Director of the Ministry of Education from Portugal, Director of the
Music Institute from Italy, Director of the Education Cluster from Portugal, Lecturers from IPP Portalegre
(Portugal), Lecturers from Cukurova University (Turkey) and employees of the Association of Foreign
Language Teachers from Portugal.
The meeting was divided into two parts: that is, the
project management and the intellectual results to be
developed in the project. The second part of the meeting
was a study visit to Public Kindergarten No. 34, where,
the so-called dissemination activity (Multiplier Event),
took place. The meeting was attended by pre-school
education teachers and partners in the project. Everyone
took part in demonstration classes in English as well as
music. Then, during the workshops for teachers, the idea
of the project and the results were presented. Teachers
discussed the core curriculum and exchanged their ideas
and good practices in teaching foreign languages in pre-
school education.
