Saturdays: Join the CMSC every week for Saturday Science. Offering fun and educational science activities and demonstrations. Call or visit their website for times and details. $ 5 per person.
First Saturdays: Young Explorers Academy, where children( 3-5) are invited to join a group of explorers to learn about the world around us. Monthly educational lessons include fun hands-on activities that promote creativity and foster a love of learning. Guardian participation is required. 11 a. m.- 12:30 p. m. $ 12 per enrollment or $ 7 for CMSC members. Fee includes all day admission.
Third Saturdays: All Ages Astronomy Club. Meetings include a fascinating program about the night sky and a chance for members and guests to talk about all things astronomy. Plus, use a telescope, build one and learn how to pick the proper telescope and identify different celestial objects. 7-9 p. m. $ 2 fee required for all non-members.
Third Saturdays: Junior Explorers is a monthly workshop for children( ages 6-8). Different science topics are covered each month, providing participants with opportunities to explore and experiment through hands-on activities that will stimulate their natural curiosity. December 17- January 8: Winter Wonderfest. Snow has come to Orange County with themed attractions and real science at Discovery Cube OC. Learn the science behind sledding down ice ramps and how snowflakes are formed, then put your knowledge to action with real sledding and snowflake making. Activities include snow tubing, sledding, snow learning stations and snow play area.

Saturdays: Weekend Scenic Train Excursions. Take a four-hour, round-trip train ride through the citrus and avocado groves of the Heritage Valley on board vintage 1930’ s passenger and dining cars. Onboard lunch available for purchase. Stop at two locations during the trip, including historic downtown Santa Paula and the Loose Caboose Garden Center and Gift Emporium.
