FROM LIZ:
Welcome to our 30th Anniversary- Part Two! This celebratory issue is all about you –– the parents –– our heroes. The people who make the magic happen, 24 / 7, 365 days a year.
Parenting is, without a doubt, the hardest, longest, most gratifying and meaningful job you’ ll ever have.
That’ s why we sought out advice from experts –– doctors, authors, educators, nutritionists, readers, famous folk –– so we could help and support you in doing the superhero job you do every day as a mom / dad.( After all, you’ ve been helping and supporting us for the past 30 years!)
We’ ve bundled this sage and simple advice into 30( our magic number) Super Power Parenting Tips. They’ re game changers. This reassuring pep talk( pages 3-4) serves as an affirmation to hold your course, enjoy the moments, trust your gut... and“ Be a Butterfly”( see # 29, it’ s my fave!).
At our ripe age of 30, who doesn’ t want / need a little make-over? Look at our Table of Contents and you’ ll see what we mean. We’ ve streamlined, organized, condensed... wrinkle reduced. With this new format, we’ re hoping you’ ll discover new activities and services for your family, and easily find familiar ones you’ re looking for. Use the guide at the bottom of each page to navigate through the sections. As always, we’ d love your feedback: editor @ kidsguidemagazine. com. We’ re here to serve you.
BTW: You’ ll want to keep this issue handy for the those trying moments when— as my mother used to say—“ there’ s not enough booze in the bottle!”( Not that we’ re suggesting wine as a parenting strategy.)
Love and treasure this time with your kids.
