trained . We can ’ t wait to see your little ones at Music Camp ! VOCAL PERFORMANCE / SONGWRITING CAMP ( Ages 9-15 ): June 19-23 from 8:30am-11:30am .
This Camp is perfect for kids ages 9-15 who are in choir , theatre , or are interested in singing and want to hone in on their vocal skills and feel more confident performing in front of others ! Each day we will learn new skills and vocal techniques to help with pitch , tone , breathing , projection , and more ! We will also learn performance techniques and how to successfully write a song . Each camper will end the week with their own song they have written and will be able to record a copy of it to keep ! ELEMENTARY MUSIC CAMP ( Ages 6-10 ): July 10-14 from 8:30am-11:30am .
This camp is designed for kids ages 6-10 who are already in music , or would like to start taking lessons but would like to get a feel for it first ! We will learn about different instruments and learn how to play a song on each of them , basic music theory , and more ! On the last day of camp , each camper will choose their favorite instrument and play in the “ band ” for the last-day performance !

THEATRE TUSCALOOSA ’ S PROJECT BROADWAY

June 5 – 9 , 2023 1:00 p . m .– 5:00 p . m . Daily
During Project Broadway , “ Mamma Mia !” director Stephen Tyler Davis will lead a team of theatre pros ( including Broadway star Jake Boyd , Executive Producer Tina Turley , Shannon Dionne , and musical director Jamie Shannon Ferguson Ertle ) to work directly with teen participants to craft a unique musical theatre performance in just one week . Project Broadway takes actors a step beyond a traditional musical theatre camp , encouraging each student to discover their own voice , connect , collaborate , and make a new Broadway-style performance project through the collective creative process . At the end of the week , participants will perform publicly in the Bean-Brown Theatre . Tuition includes two tickets to the final performance . Additional tickets will be available for purchase .

The UA Reading Clinic

The UA Reading Clinic provides programs during the school year and summer for children in grades K-6 . Classes are designed for students who need intervention due to reading disability , characteristics of dyslexia , and dyslexia , and are individualized to meet each child ’ s needs using structured literacy methods and dyslexia specific curriculum .
