For extended families or friends , the Architect Circle Cottages are perfect . Each have 4 double queen accommodations with private bathrooms , in-room TV , and great room with fireplace . Each cottage has a kitchen and dining room . The Masters Row Cabins are nestled just off Hole No . 11 with 4 suites as well . Parker Lodge is perfect for big family reunions with 14,000-sq ft overlooking Lodge Lake and the 17th green . There is a putting green behind the Masters Row cabins ; all cabins and cottages have personal golf carts .
Arrington is the resort ’ s signature restaurant with delicious cuisine made from local farm-sourced ingredients . For dinner , the Shrimp and Grits were our favorite . Old Tom ’ s Pub has a lighter fare . For lunch , we enjoyed chicken salad on croissant with fruit , and dined on the Arrington Patio . The children ’ s menu is sure to please with delights such as pancakes for breakfast , chicken tenders , pizzas , and hamburgers to list a few . The hot fudge sundae with ice cream is a kid
favorite . The Clubhouse Grille offers another dining option just off the 18th green .
The resort has many interesting history tidbits . Sylacauga ’ s favorite son , Jim Nabors , AKA Gomer Pyle , was best man at CEO David Pursell ’ s parents ’ wedding . Nabors gifted a Florentine Renaissance-style carving that is attributed to Luca dell Robbia ( 1399-1482 ) and a fabulous billiards table that celebrities played on when it was in his Bel Air home .
Leaving is never easy , but there is always next summer . The kids will not let you forget the place where they can run and play freely . Many families only have 18 summers to vacation with their kids . This resort will be their most memorable . Pursell Farms — where “ together ” is celebrated .
