Guests can be found along brick paths and swings which are positioned perfectly for the big event . The waterfront ambiance is enhanced with 8 huge fire pits sprinkled along the expansive lawn complete with sofa chairs and cozy blankets .
SPA AT THE GRAND : Spa-visiting has become a vital part of travel , and the Spa at the Grand does not disappoint . For the ultimate in relaxation , make an appointment prior to your visit . This 20,000 square-foot European-inspired spa features an array of services including the must-have Couples Massage . There is something special about taking a journey to relaxation and renewed energy together .
The Quiet Room is my favorite of all spas I have experienced . Here , the dimly lit lanterns emphasize the sparkling mosaic panels flanking the room . The hotel ’ s indoor pool is steps from the spa , and couples can wait there as well . For an unusual treatment , ask about the Ashiathu -Asian Barefoot Massage . The spa offers exceptional specialty products , and my favorite is the Support Equilibrium Bath and Shower Oil . Set an alarm , because a few drops in your bath will put you to sleep .
GOLFING , ACTIVITIES AND SHOPPING : Golfing couples will enjoy the Lakewood Club at the Grand , a sparkling resort member of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail . The Dogwood course renovation was completed in 2018 , and the Azalea course renovations are now complete after the 18-month transformation . Both courses are renowned and meticulously maintained . The Dogwood course wanders through pines , magnolias and ancient oaks , which are indigenous to the beauty of the region .
Dip into year-round fun at one of the Grand pools . Ask about the adult pool for peak season , and rent a private beach or pool cabana . The two outdoor whirlpools are popular spots for couples , or enjoy the heated indoor lap pool . Hop on a bike to witness the breathtaking coastal scenery .
