Page 7 Spielwarenmesse® 2014 of Spielwarenmesse® 2014 and Mr. Kick (CEO of Spielwarenmesse eG) was pleased to welcome the Indian guests personally and to offer them a platform to meet other toy industry members and establish important business contacts in a relaxed atmosphere. Over 76,000 trade visitors from 112 countries travelled to the biggest Spielwarenmesse of all time (2013: 72,595). The extra buyers and traders came mainly from the major target markets of America, Asia and Europe. On 170,000 sqm in 15 halls (3 of them two storeyed), 2,748 exhibitors from 61 countries presented their products at the fair. There was also an Indian Pavilion of 333 sqm with 11 exhibitors from India, organized by Sports Goods Export Promotion Council. Moreover 12 companies from India applied as individual exhibitors for Spielwarenmesse® and covered another 164 sqm. Spielwarenmesse eG is happy to welcome some of the Kids India exhibitors, such as Anacra Merchandise Pvt. Ltd., Brightway Exports International, Brijbasi Art Press Ltd., Chalk and Chuckles Products PVT LTD, Frank Educational Aids Pvt. Ltd., Funskool India Ltd., Girdhari Lal Chopra Pvt. Ltd., Pegasus ToyKraft Pvt. Ltd., Play Craft Traders, Tayebally Ebrahim & Sons and Toy Zone Impex Pvt. Ltd also at Spielwarenmesse® in Germany. Hence Spielwarenmesse eG organized a Get Together event for Indian exhibitors and visitors on 30th January 2014 at the World of Toys booth in Entrance Mitte. The participants shared first impressions The visitors of Spielwarenmesse® were all delighted with the new hall 3A with the TrendGallery and the many new products from the toy industry. The product groups Baby and Infant Articles, Carnival and Festive Articles, Fireworks, and Model Railways and Accessories noticed new impetus this time. The premiere of the TrendGallery turned out to be a real hit with regard to design and content. Fit4Life, Mini is King, Retromania and TechToys, the current trend streams presented there, were also core themes in all the halls at the fair. ThinkFun Inc. from the USA also nails its colours to the mast in Nuremberg for the first time. Chris Gough, Director International Business, explains why: “We have decided to exhibit in Nuremberg this year so that we can present our brand at the location where all buyers are present.” Sue Foung Kong, Managing Director of Jefin Sdn. Bhd. from Malaysia, knows why the long trip to Nuremberg is worth it: “What I like most is the huge choice of brands and toys from all over the world, because Spielwarenmesse offers simply everything – exactly the products I’m looking for and those I would never have dreamed of too.” The next Spielwarenmesse® takes place from 28 January to 2 February 2015.
