KIDS INDIA MAGAZINE ISSUE 08 JULY 2017 | Page 2

Page 2 Editorial: Dear friends, warm greetings from Germany. Every new year brings new tasks. And new tasks bring new opportunities. For our team, one such opportunity came with the founding of Spielwarenmesse India Pvt. Ltd. – the Indian subsidiary of Spielwarenmesse eG – three months ago in New Delhi. This move will help Kids India consolidate its position in one of the world’s largest growth markets. The rapid expansion of our fair is being fuelled by the keen interest of various toy manufacturers and buyers who appreciate our professionalism whilst recognising the huge potential offered by this dynamic market. Of course, a new subsidiary also needs a new team – and a new head who has the ability to meet the high expectations of our international and national clientele with respect to our premium toy and games fair. It is, therefore, my great pleasure to welcome Ms. Katharina Janotta as our new Managing Director of Spielwarenmesse India Pvt. Ltd.. She is a prominent figure and expert in this industry who has much experience and a proven track record with Spielwarenmesse eG and Kids India. Spielwarenmesse India Pvt. Ltd. will continue to build on the success of the first Indian toy fair in 2013 and help the expo grow still further. In fact, our subsidiary can already celebrate its first milestone: Kids India, which is scheduled to open its doors from 15 to 17 September 2016, will take place across two halls for the first time. This year’s figures will easily surpass last year’s event which attracted 150 exhibitors and over 350 unique brands. Exciting times lie ahead: the moment has come to tap into the huge potential of the Indian market. Our fair will help you explore trends, gain essential business insights and support your networking goals. It’s going to be a good year for both the Indian and international toy industries. Wishing you the very best fortune, Ernst Kick Chief Executive Officer, Spielwarenmesse eG AKS ALP Æ CCI INDIA Kittu
