What is Success?
And how do we achieve it?
Many people want to achieve success in life, but it's easier said than done. There are so many distractions that can be challenging to discipline one's self to accomplish a monumental goal.
The fact is that most people simply have no idea about what they really want. Have you ever asked yourself questions like: What is it that I really want? What does success mean to me? How will this accomplishment make a difference to my life? And what does achieve actually mean?
Each of us has different ideas about success. While some view at it as overall success in life, others compartmentalise it into various aspects of life such as success in their relationships, family, good job, education , financial aspects. Or is it by the legacy you leave behind? If you look through the pages of history, you will come across many individuals who achieve greatness despite seemingly impossible situations.
Money?
All too often we equate a successful life with material possessions. Yet, there are millions of people out there who lead successful, fulfilled lives who may be of modest means. They may not be rich in the financial sense, but they are rich in life and values.
I read a very interesting article on a blog about successful living. It gives a list of 20 important qualities that define success. The list includes sincerity, honesty, wisdom, charity, compassion and much more. You can read the full list here.
For this article, I asked over 25 people from around the globe these 3 questions.
