ISLAND GOVERNANCE
Deadline for Board Applications - Oct. 4
Board service is an opportunity for you to share your
experience and ideas with the community, represent the
interests of your fellow property owners, and be part
of the process that steers the future of Kiawah. Two
seats on the KICA Board of Directors will be opening,
as director Cathy Pumphrey and chair Ben Cheatham
finish their terms in March 2020.
Any KICA member may run for board service by
submitting an application, which includes pertinent
information and a statement of focus. These statements
will be published along with other election materials.
Visit kica.us/about/board for links to the candidate
application, FAQs and more. The deadline for
applications is Friday, Oct 4.
Applications are directed to the Nominating Committee,
a member-led group that works to ensure qualified
candidates are recommended based on objective
evaluation. The Nominating Committee makes its
recommendation to the membership after interviewing
and evaluating prospective candidates.
Diverse board leadership is vital to the continued success
of our Kiawah community, and the board thanks you in
advance for your interest in making an impact on the
future of the island.
