at 2 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Kiawah
Island Town Hall at 4475 Betsy Kerrison
Parkway, Kiawah Island, SC 29455, unless
otherwise indicated. In-person attendance
may be limited due to COVID-19.

Board of Directors Virtual Meeting
July 13, 2020 | 1 p.m.
The KICA Board of Directors will meet
virtually to discuss community operations
and initiatives. Community members are
invited to attend online and share comments
with the board at the beginning and end of
the meeting.

COVID-19 SAFETY
Town Council Ordinance Requires Masks
The Town of Kiawah Island’s town council
met on Monday, July 29 to enact an ordinance
requiring the use of face coverings for customers
and employees entering any business, club or
association within the town limits.
Beginning Wednesday, July 1, KICA will require
masks at our facilities, including The Sandcastle,
Beachwalker Center and the Main Gate. Masks
will also be required at resort facilities and
Freshfields Village.
Mayor Craig Weaver noted the situation’s
uncertainty and called for the community’s
cooperation, saying “whatever arises will require
all of Kiawah - our governing entities, property
owners, businesses, and visitors – to be aligned
and committed to keeping ourselves and each
other safe.”
