WINTER 2020
Our World
From the health of our local tidal creeks to a
delightful afternoon discussing jazz, the Our World
Lecture Series has two meaningful and enlightening
programs planned for Kiawah residents in February.

Sentinels of the Lowcountry’s Environmental Health
Dr. Fred Holland has spent a career researching and
assessing the various influences on our environment.
Most recently, his focus has been on evaluating
the consequences of stormwater runoff from the
increased development of coastal areas. What are
the long term effects of development on tidal creeks
and saltmarshes and, most important, what can be
done to make realistic environmental management
decisions?
