TRAILBLAZING EXCELLENCE WITH YAK
YOUNG AGENTS OF KANSAS INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF ACHIEVEMENT
The Young Agents of Kansas( YAK) continue to set the standard for leadership, engagement, and innovation within the insurance industry. In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the Big " I " National Young Agents Committee awarded YAK the 2025 Outstanding Meeting Award and inducted them into the prestigious Hall of Achievement.
The Hall of Achievement is one of the highest honors given to young agent committees, recognizing consistent excellence across five categories: Community Service, Workforce Development, Membership Development, Political Involvement, and Young Agents Meeting. YAK has won each of these awards in past years, along with being named Outstanding Young Agent Committee of the Year in 2022, making them eligible for this milestone honor.
The group’ s 2024 Young Agents Conference, themed“ Trailblazing Excellence: Choose Your Path, Leave Your Legacy,” exemplified their dedication to professional development. With more than 150 attendees from Kansas and Oklahoma, the event featured sessions on leadership, communication, reinsurance, and navigating the hard market, led by industry experts. Networking opportunities, from golf and game nights to lakeside mixers, created meaningful connections, while scholarship opportunities— including first-time attendee grants and the Future Leaders Scholarship— helped expand access and involvement.
YAK also prioritized engagement and retention throughout the year. Each new KAIA young agent member received a personal welcome, while dedicated young agent events at KAIA conferences ensured opportunities for networking and education. The recognition of the Outstanding Young Agent of the Year at the KAIA Annual Convention further highlighted the impact of their work.
