EVENT SAW DISCUSSIONS ON COVERAGE FORMS AND FILINGS
The Insurance Intelligence Committee hosted the 89th annual Mid-America Insurance Conference ( MAIC ) in Kansas City in early November .
MAIC brings together insurance professionals from 38 member states with Verisk / ISO , NCCI , and Acord to discuss enhancements and changes to coverage forms as well as standard industry forms . Many of the changes to ISO forms over the years have their origins at MAIC and the agents and carrier reps attending MAIC continue to advocate for improvements within our industry . Maria Dressman of Elliott Group concluded her two-year term as chair of the Insurance Intelligence Committee . During the conference she presented several agents with Agent of Change awards for those individuals who have successfully initiated coverage changes now adopted by ISO in its coverage forms and updates .
