YOUR INSURANCE DEPARTMENT IS HITTING THE ROAD ! written by Commissioner Vicki Schmidt , Kansas Insurance Dept .
Since becoming Insurance Commissioner , one of my goals has been to make the Department and the services we provide as accessible as possible to the Kansans we serve . As part of that goal and the Department ’ s mission to educate Kansans , we have begun a Mobile Office initiative to bring the Department directly to communities across Kansas .
The goal of this program is to educate Kansans about the work the Department does to regulate both the insurance and securities industries , receive and process on-site consumer complaints , fraud reports , licensing and registration applications , and inform the public on the resources available to them through the Department . It is my hope that these Mobile Office events will serve as a forum to learn and ask questions about insurance and securities . opportunity to meet the staff and visit about recent changes to the licensing process .
The Department recently visited Council Grove and Junction City . I believe in better serving Kansans by listening to their concerns in their own communities .

When we deploy our Mobile Office , employees from the Department are on hand to help members of the public with consumer complaints and fraud reports , visit with agents and advisers about the licensing and registration process , and answer questions about insurance and securities .
