BIG I LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE

GROUP REPRESENTS KAIA AT NATIONAL ADVOCACY EVENT IN D. C.
The 2025 Big“ I” Legislative Conference was held from April 30 – May 2. Independent insurance agents from across the country gathered in Washington, D. C. to meet with members of Congress and advocate for key policy priorities impacting small businesses, the insurance industry, and the broader economy. The Kansas delegation was led by the following KAIA volunteer leaders and staff:
• Bryan Schmitz( SBS Insurance) – KAIA President and Big“ I” Crop Insurance Subcommittee Member
• Dave Vogel( ProValue Insurance) – KAIA President-Elect; Coverage Committee, Chair
• Jo Erin Stuteville( Elliott Group) – KAIA National Director
• Robert Richey( Conrade Insurance Group) – Member of Big“ I” Health Care Subcommittee and KAIA Government Affairs Committee
• Haley Marsicek( Cardinal Insurance) – Young Agents of Kansas, Chair
• Jordan Crow( Imperial PFS) – Young Agents of
Kansas, Chair-Elect
• Brock Elliott( Elliott Group) – KAIA VP, Treasurer; Government Affairs Committee, Chair
• Bob Fee( Fee Insurance Group) – Big“ I” Past Chair, KAIA Past President, and KAIA Government Affairs Committee Member
• Rick Elliott( Elliott Group) – KAIA Past President and KAIA Government Affairs Committee Member
In addition to meeting with legislators, the Big“ I” Legislative Conference also includes an emerging leaders luncheon that celebrates standout members for going above and beyond. This year one of our own, Brock Elliott, received the Big“ I” Young Agent of the Year award for his leadership on both the national and state levels. Congratulations to Brock, well-deserved!
