COVERED Zach Renn He’s known for his above average height and mediocre street cred, but there’s more to Zach Renn, as he exclusively tells KIA&B magazine... Hardworking, detail-oriented, and personable is how friends and colleagues describe him. Zach didn’t get his start in the insurance industry; it has been a part of his entire life. After graduating from the University of Kansas, he spent around 10 years working both inside and outside sales roles before transitioning into the insurance industry. March marked three years for Zach’s insurance career, although his greatgrandfather started an agency in 1933, and two of his uncles currently own independent agencies. Maybe one day we will see this avid golfer on the Champions Tour, but for now he’s celebrating the achievements at Stephens Chapin Insurance that have built the groundwork for significant growth over the next few years. K: How do your past experiences help you in the role you are in today? ZR: As a Commercial Producer, my primary job is selling, so I find myself relying on past techniques or experiences on an everyday basis. K: What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning? ZR: For the first time in my life, I can honestly say I enjoy my job. I like knowing that if I do my job well, I can make a significant impact on a person’s life or how a business is run. K: What do you want to be when you grow up? ZR: A professional golfer. If I quit my job and practice really 20
