Kevin O ' Brien , CPCU , is the Vice President of The Reilly Company in Overland Park , and is your new KAIA President . Let ' s get to know a little more about the leader of your Association .

Kevin grew up on the East coast , mostly in Connecticut . He was the oldest of six kids , and says that was where he learned a good work ethic , as there were , " a lot of chores to do like in any big family ." After graduating high school , Kevin knew he wanted to go away to college . Along with another friend of the family , he ended up attending Washburn University in Topeka .
Kevin ' s father was an independent agent and he says he swore he would never get in the industry . " I was so certain because my dad was an independent agent , and every night at the dinner table growing up , all we heard about was insurance !" says Kevin . " And over the years it wore me out ."
But as luck would have it , there was a different path to be taken than what Kevin hoped for after college . Around four months before his graduation , his father ' s boss , and the owner of the agency , called
