KANSAS INSURANCE NEWS Liberty Mutual Insurance Waives Growth Requirement for Agencies in Profit-Sharing In response to COVID-19, Liberty Mutual announced updated guidelines for their 2020 commercial lines profitsharing agreement and will waive the 10% written premium growth requirement to earn a profit-sharing bonus. Big ‘I’ Advocates for Liability Protections the Big “I” joined a number of business organizations in signing a letter on liability protections that was sent to all members of Congress. The letter focused on the need to enact temporary and targeted liability protections and asked Congress to quickly enact those temporary liability protections for businesses, non-profit organizations and educational institutions that follow applicable public health guidelines against COVID-19 exposure claims. KAIA Staff featured in Insurance Journal Executive Director, Dave Hulcher and Will Larson, KAIA contract attorney, participated in “The Next Wave of COVID: Agency E&O” webinar hosted by RiskGenius. During the webinar they discussed what agents can expect following the pandemic. Larson discussed what Agents’ duties are and how their exposure increases in times such as these. The Insurance Journal listened in to the webinar and wrote a nice summary that was published nationally.
