KAIA Helps Organize Sportsmen’s
Caucus Annual Fishing Tournament and
Sporting Clays Shoot for Legislators
MONDAY-TUESDAY, APRIL 23-24
As part of our advocacy efforts on behalf of our members,
KAIA works closely with the Kansas Legislative Sportsmen’s
Caucus—led by Rep. Ken Corbet, Rep. Kyle Hoffman,
Sen. Rick Billinger and Sen. Mike Petersen—to put on the
12th annual Larry Magill Legislator Sportsman Challenge.
Attendees will join the caucus on the 23rd for a fishing
tournament and reception, then, on the 24th, they will
participate in a sporting clays shoot followed by lunch.
This is just one more way that KAIA maintains positive
relationships with Kansas legislators to show our
appreciation for what they do.
Phil served his community in many ways, including as Elder
and Trustee of First Presbyterian Church; President of Hospice
of Salina; President of the Manhattan Chapter of Lutheran/
Christian Fraternity Beta Sigma Psi; member of the Salina Area
Chamber of Commerce; on the Board of Directors for the
Salina Regional Health Foundation; and as an active participant
in Relay for Life for over 10 years in memory of Glenda Krug.
Most important to Phil was spending time with his family
and friends. He lived each day by the Winston Churchill
quote “Never, Never, Never Quit.”
