YAK YOUNG AGENTS of KANSAS Molly Reilly | YOUNG AGENTS PROFILE | Years in Industry: 1+ Email: [email protected] Office phone: 785-392-4186 How did you get into the Industry? Well to be honest I sort of stumbled upon it. My husband Chris and I had just moved home to Kansas from living in the U.S. Virgin Islands for a few years when I ran into Lyle Davidson at a local event. He asked me what my plans were now that we were home. I told him I wanted to get my real estate license and find a broker to work with. He called me a few days later and asked if I would be interested in working for The Davidson Agency as a producer part time and also do real estate part time. Our local real estate market is very seasonal and it can be hard to make a full time job out of it. He also connected me with Monte Nelson, another producer in our office and the Broker/Owner of Sunflower Realty in Minneapolis. Since this initial run in at the summer bible school concert I have gotten licensed in both insurance and real estate and have been working in both industries ever since. What do young agents bring to the Industry? I think Young Agents bring a desire to strengthen the insurance industry as a whole. We are far more then just a group of young agents. We are the future of this industry and we want to make sure we are doing our part now to cultivate future leaders. How do you see the industry changing in the next 5-10 years? I think we are going to be dealing with new risks we have never even thought of before. The world around us is a bit scary these days and people are going to need to protect themselves and their livelihood in new and creative ways. We need to be preparing now for what is to come by familiarizing ourselves with new products and keep in close contact with our clients. Who/What have been your greatest resources in this industry and why? Lyle! My agency principal is Lyle Davidson, owner of The Davidson Agency. I have been extremely lucky to be learning this business from someone who is so passi
