| PRESIDENT’S PAGE | Celebrating Change Passing the presidential baton. LYLE DAVIDSON KAIA President e recently concluded another successful Leadership and Development Conference, and we celebrate the award winners, current leaders, and future leaders of our association. As I conclude my tenure as association president, I have had time to reflect on the past year and the positive direction of the KAIA. W As our industry changes, so must our association. David Hulcher has completed his first full year as association Executive Director, and it’s exciting to see his energy and direction toward the future. Our board recently completed our tri-annual strategic planning initiative and has put plans in place to attack the challenges that our industry and association face. Our staff continues to be a strength of the association and will continue to help provide the advocacy, market access, and services we as members need. KAIA has continued to develop a positive working relationship with the Kansas Insurance Department and specifically with Commissioner Selzer. We appreciate the willingness to be a 2 resource on industry issues. Together we have prolonged our partnership and will continue to do so in the best interests of Kansas consumers. We also maintain a tremendous relationship with our company partners. Through the company/ agent partnership, we uphold our commitment to provide exceptional coverage and service to our clients, despite the external challenges we face. Thank you for the opportunity to have served the past year as your KAIA president! It has been a positive experience to be a part of the association changes the past year. As I pass the baton to Scott Strong after all these years serving together on the board, I know the association is in good hands. I look forward to joining the Past President’s group and remain in service to KAIA with them. KANSAS INSURANCE AGENT & BROKER | September - October 2017 |
