2017 KANSAS INSURANCE INDUSTRY AWARDS Nominate your agency’s shining stars this year I ndependent insurance agents are often times a jack of all trades – from the office to home and in their communities. KAIA’s annual insurance industry awards are one way to recognize and promote the valuable role that independent agents fulfill on the local and state level as small business owners, employers, consumer advocates, industry professionals, civic leaders and community volunteers. “Our members work every single day to make our work places and communities better,” said Dave Hulcher, executive director of KAIA. “That is why acknowledging them through the Kansas Insurance Industry Award is so important.” The association recognizes four shining stars, each year in the Kansas independent insurance industry: an Agent of the Year, an Outstanding Young Agent, a Distinguished Service member, and a Company Representative of the Year. Members are encouraged to nominate independent agents and company representatives for one or more of these industry awards. Nomination forms are brief and nominations may be made anonymously. The 2017 honorees will be recognized Friday, Oct. 6, during KAIA’s Leadership and Development Conference at the Bluemont Hotel in Manhattan, KS. Nominations will be accepted until Monday, July 10.
