A Kansas native, Mark Eaton has spent over 40 years in the construction industry, primarily in the Wichita area. Formerly a Construction Superintendent for a leading Wichita area homebuilder, Mark had always dreamed of owning and operating his own business. After the devastating hailstorm that hit the Wichita area in 1992, Mark was introduced to the inner-workings of the roofing industry by a friend in the industry and began serving the roofing needs of customers all over Kansas. The company has now grown to include 3 locations with 35 employees.
Eaton Roofing & Exteriors – formerly Wichita Roofing & Remodeling, Lawrence / Topeka Roofing and Salina Roofing – enjoys the reputation as the state’ s largest residential re-roof contractor with our footprint covering 2 / 3 of the state. That footprint has allowed the company to repair or install more than 35,000 roofs across Kansas, but also operate a thriving exteriors business focused on windows, doors, siding and decks. In 2005, the company was selected as the lead general contractor for ABC’ s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Mark Eaton oversaw the construction of a new home for the Neutch family.
It is community mindedness that makes Mark Eaton and his company tick. In 2010, Eaton approached other local roofing companies to join in sponsoring and paying for a consumer alert campaign to warn the public about unknown and transient roofers and contractors about to descend on the area after a high-magnitude hailstorm. Then as a board member of the Kansas Roofing Association, Eaton and many others worked with the Kansas Legislature to see HB2024 pass, which makes it exceedingly difficult for roofers to conduct business in Kansas without the required registration, licensing, insurance and tax compliance. That fairness approach carries over into Eaton’ s working relationships with many agents and adjusters in the insurance industry.
