to golf or not to golf?
New wine-tasting, shopping option
added to President’s Classic
N
ow, you’ve got options! The annual KAIA
President’s Classic is set for Monday, June 8, at
Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta. Proceeds from
the golf tournament benefit high school athletes
participating in the Trusted Choice® Junior Golf Qualifier.
But, golfing isn’t the only way to participate in the event
and support Kansas students.
There’s golf
Golfers will play the par 72 Firekeeper course in a fourperson flighted scramble. Firekeeper – the first course
designed by four-time PGA tour winner Notah Bengay III
– is located adjacent to the Prairie Band Casino about 20
12
minutes north of Topeka. Following the tournament, prizes
will be awarded at a dinner and silent auction.
or, there’s shopping
For those who don’t want to golf, a day trip to Atchison is
being planned in conjunction with the President’s Classic.
Participants will depart from Firekeeper Golf Course
for wine-tasting, tours and shopping in nearby Atchison.
Afterward, the group will return to Firekeeper for the
dinner and auction activities.
To register for golf or the day trip, visit www.KAIA.com/golf
or call the KAIA office at 1-800-229-7048.
