What if? game
Aim: To establish if basic principles for household chores are understood and why they are necessary. To learn new survival skills.
Materials needed: None
Instructions:
Ask the group what would happen if (give the following scenarios)
- you wash clothes with polish
- you wash your baby sister with powder
- you throw too much pepper in the food
- you forget to turn off the stove
- you never wash your socks
- you do not water the plants
- you don't throw away the trash
- you don't look after your two-year old brother and the door is openÂ…
- you leave your marbles lying around?
- What would happen if everybody wore the same clothes every day?
- What would happen if no one cleaned the house?
Lead the discussion so that the following areas are touched upon:
*The logical result of the action
*Indication of what the correct action would entail
*Result of behaviour, for instance, punishment
*Social responsibility
