School Celebrations My favourite activity was the soft play because there were different shapes to make houses with. There was a big circle with a hole in the middle. Sean got in the hole and I rolled him around! We also decorated maps of the UK. I liked the one with words best because it was pretty and I understood it. Lexie McC 2W As the theme of the day was Britishness, we enjoyed several British activities. We dressed up as famous people. I put on the costume of Sherlock Holmes and acted out the part with a few of my friends. I extended my knowledge of famous British people, including singers, actors, politicians and sportsman over the course of the day. It was a terrific day. Joshua R Year 3 The birds of prey were amazing. The first bird was a super cute little owl. We learnt about its features and how they are adapted to their environment. We also saw a tawny frogmouth, a kookaburra and a raven. I loved the raven as it could solve a puzzle using only its beak to move the pieces. It had been trained to do this and got meat as a prize. Finally, the eagle owl came out. It had an enormous wingspan, so when it flapped its wings we could feel a breeze. The day was fantastic. I found it educational and fun. Orla F Year 3 91
