School Celebrations
Founder’s Day
The entrance was filled with the sound of the orchestra playing “Happy Birthday” and
other jolly tunes. A majestic wall stood proudly in front of us. It was frightening to look at
let alone climb. The front of the building was decorated with Union Jack banners and signs
listing the activities for the day. Year 6 started the day with extra climbing wall time
although it was cold we all had a fabulous time. Phoebe S Year 6
The Wind Band stood outside in the shining sun,
playing melodic tunes. Many British celebrities
joined the glorious celebration such as Ant and Dec
and Cheryl Cole, except in cardboard form! To
complete the British theme, a background of the
skyline of London hung upon the sheds in the
playground. A few people at a time got to come
down with their friends to dress up as interesting
things such as Big Ben and a bright red letterbox.
They then had a photo taken to savour the great
day. I loved it all. Lucy C Year 6
