Head’s Welcome
It is with enormous pride and joy that I look back on our
year, packed full of so many achievements, activities
and fun and I am delighted to be able to give you some
insight into the exciting opportunities that our children
enjoy. This magazine is only the ‘tip of an iceberg’ in its
depiction of what Kew College has to offer its pupils. I
feel sure that it will give you an inkling as to the
dedication, determination and boundless energy that
our staff put into all that they do for the children in our
care; their passion for teaching shines through. In
return, our children strive to do their very best in every
aspect of school life and believe that anything is
possible; they are, without any shadow of a doubt, our
greatest ambassadors. We have wonderful, happy and
inquisitive children who never cease to amaze and as
much as we teach them, we continue to learn from
them every day.
Yet again our Year 6 children have excelled in their exams and we are very proud of each and every one of them.
Whilst it is sad to see them go, I know that they will continue to achieve at their secondary schools, embracing their
new experiences with the same wholehearted enthusiasm as they have done here at Kew College.
I would like to thank our governors for their excellent oversight and support this year which has helped us in our
continued success both in what we have achieved to date and in our ambitions and plans for the future.
The dedication of Kew College Friends (KCF) to support the school community with social events and in fundraising is
also greatly appreciated by us all.
Looking forward, we are excited to see the new building coming along in leaps and bounds. This time next year we
will be taking occupation of it and are excited to think of the wonderful new opportunities that it will offer to our
pupils.
I hope that you enjoy reading our Kew Review, and that you get a feel for the wonderful, vibrant school that Kew
College is.
