Year 4 In full stride Bowles Residential Trip Year 4 had an amazing and fun-filled three days at Bowles Activity Centre. Over the three days each group swam, made rafts, went skiing, tested their skills in archery, attempted or completed the leap of faith, participated in teamwork tasks, navigated themselves around the centre through orienteering and enjoyed a campfire with songs, games and marshmallows. We were delighted with the positive attitudes of the children, the perseverance shown during the tasks and the wonderful comments the children had to say about the trip. Bowles made me happy, Bowles made me glad I want to take my sister, my mum and my dad We had a run, we had a good time This now ends my residential rhyme. Thomas T We left for Bowles in the morning It was early so I was still yawning The leap of faith was very high I felt that I could touch the sky And then we had to jump And hope we wouldn't land with a bump. Emily The day I went to Bowles I set myself some goals We all knew we were in for a great adventure To challenge myself each day But first we had to listen to a safety lecture And make new friends along the way The zip wire was so high We did low ropes in the trees Camp fire, singing and laughter were key I suddenly felt so free. Jemima 26 It felt like you could really fly We all felt ecstatic and super free! Sophia
