Residential Trip to PGL Marchant’s Hill
Our first residential trip took place in the Summer term. Year 3 children spent two days, one night, at PGL
in Hindhead. The purpose of the trip was to give the children an experience of staying away from home, to
help them to develop their skills of independence, organisation and working together as a team. And of
course, to have fun! The children participated in Aeroball, raft building, the giant swing, zip wire and the
low ropes course. In the evening they toasted marshmallows by the campfire, sang songs and told stories
before bed time. Everyone agreed that it was both brilliant fun and a great learning experience. Year 3 are
now very eager to go on their next residential trip in Year 4!
