Year 5 Up and running National Archives & Hampton Court Palace At the National Archives we studied a document which described the jousting coat of Henry VIII’s horse. We were challenged to find out what type of ruler King Henry was. William G I was intrigued to see original documents from the time of Henry VIII. Not being able to touch them made them even more extraordinary. We were privileged to see an intricate document signed by Henry VIII. Katie B Cautiously we stepped into the splendid palace and looked around at Cardinal Wolsey’s riches. A large man, dressed in Tudor clothes of gold, red and black, came striding towards us. This strange looking gentleman explained that he was the Master of the Revels and would teach us a Masque. This historic Masque was about to be tested to see if it was suitable for His Majesty King Henry VIII. We performed it in the Great Watching Chamber! Evie M 30
