School Celebrations Founder’s Day The archery was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed target practice under a red and white tent in the playground taking the chance to become the next Robin Hood! On my first go I scored fourteen points out of sixty. But, on the second go I scored an amazing forty-three points. In total, my score was a whopping fifty-seven points! This was a great achievement for me. I handled a massive bow which was double my size and remembered that when I was little, I had to use small plastic bows. Our instructors, who were full of fun and laughter, taught us the rules in handling our bow and arrow safely. It will be a moment that stays with me forever and one I will look back on often. Sabina Year 5 I liked to touch the animals. My favourite was the chameleon because it had an orange soft chin. Clara Nursery I was overjoyed that Founder’s Day was so much fun! It was my first Founder’s Day celebration since joining Kew College and I can’t wait until next year. My favourite activity was rock climbing. Even though I was terrified of abseiling back down the wall, my friends cheered me on which helped me a lot! I also really enjoyed learning to play the Steel Pans. They looked like they would be really difficult to learn but our instructors made it very easy. I was surprised how good we sounded! Kaira Year 4 96
