DISCO

The Infant House Disco was held in the Sedum this year for the first time and was supervised by the school . A fantastic time was had by all the children from Nursery to Year 1 . They were entertained by the one and only Mr Marvel who performed his amazing magic and puppet show which had the entire group mesmerised . Then the disco dancing began which included disco lights and a foam machine , to the delight of all .
The Junior Disco is an annual event that takes place on a Saturday evening in November for Years 2-6 . For many of the children , it is one of the most anticipated events in the school calendar . The children dress in their finery to dance to the latest tracks that they all love to sing and perform to . With novelty toys and accessories available to purchase on the night , the room is awash with glowing head boppers , inflatable guitars , colourful necklaces , oversized sunglasses and flashing glowing emoji rings . A sight to behold ! A much loved and fun get together that raises funds for the school charity .
QUIZ NIGHT
The annual KCF Quiz by Candlelight provided an epic battle of the minds , where the parents and staff of Kew College tested their wits over 7 gruelling rounds of questions including chocolate tasting ( a terrible burden to undertake ). It was a closely contested battle with only four points separating the top three teams . However , the Full Marks-bury just edged out their closest rivals , Thank Kew for the Memories , to take the mantle ( and the case of wine ).
GOOD BYE ALI
Our much loved and famously fabulous Ali Palmer leaves the KCF team this year . She has been Chair for a number of years and driven and motivated her team with an admirable passion and boundless energy . She amazes all with her determination to achieve and her ability to make it all seem so effortless . Ali ’ s endeavours at the helm of KCF has enriched the school and its community with generous funds and immense amounts of fun . She will be very sorely missed by all at school . We hope that she will come back to see us regularly .
FUNDRAISING FOR THE SCHOOL
On behalf of the parents at Kew College , KCF fundraising events have purchased numerous items for the Infant and Junior House classrooms , the Music Department , the ICT Department and contributed to the STRIDE workshops and Leavers Gifts for Year 6 . In addition , £ 13,000 has been donated towards the new School Library bringing the total donation over the past two years to £ 40,000 . We would like to thank all our parents for their generosity in supporting the school , with a particular thanks to KCF for the immense efforts that have made this all possible .
