The Truth About George
The Year 2 children amazed their families and friends with a superb
performance of ‘The Truth About George’. The story began with
seven maidens being chosen to be sent to the dragon on the
mountainside, to save their village from destruction! However,
these enterprising young ladies had other ideas, deciding to get
married in the knowledge that that dragons only ate maidens.
Following a search for eligible young men, the mayor had to come
up with a new solution and eventually called upon the services of
Young George, the dragon slayer’s grandson. Once persuaded,
Young George led the hunting party up the hill to kill the dragon,
only to discover that the dragon was, in fact, a vegetarian! The
whole cast acted, sang and danced with gusto! They should be
congratulated on their poise, energy and enthusiasm.
