French
Chateau de la Baudoniere in Normandy
What better way to practise the language we have
been learning in school than to visit the country
itself. Year 6 spent a week immersed in the culture
and language of France whilst at the same time
having immense amounts of fun embarking on the
numerous activities lin ed up.
Asking for their food, clearing the tables, bartering
in the market place for their wares, listening to in-
structions and responding to questions from the
animateurs are all small examples of the amount of
French the children spoke on their trip. This will
undoubtedly set them up well for their future stud-
ies at secondary school.
As always, Year 6 were excellent ambassadors of
the school and a pleasure to take away.
