Art
The importance of creative play for children is
never to be under estimated. This year we chose
projects to assist children in the growth of their
many skills, including small muscle development,
hand-eye coordination, sensory discrimination,
concentration, problem solving and decision
making. One of our favourite activities was finger
painting a farm.
We took part in the excitement of Art Day by
producing a wonderful Van Gogh canvas of the
children’s work. They used a variety of Lego shapes
dipped in paint to create their painting.
Our motto is to keep in mind that the value of a
child’s art lies in the “doing”, not the end result.
