Year 6 Kew College – Class of 2017 Goodbye Kew College has taught me to have confidence to try new things and to take risks, from zip wiring in Bowles to swinging over a river in France. I have so many happy memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life! It also helped me to find the confidence in subjects such as Spellings and Maths and helped me to find my passions: History, Science and English. Through my years here at school I have discovered more amazing things to do and have enjoyed becoming more competent in skills such as Swimming and Dancing. As my time at Kew College ends, I look back at my wonderful experiences and thank it for helping me through my exams and for making me the person, I am today. Sophie B 6T When I first started as a nervous Nursery child, I never thought past each day or what I would do, let alone know who I would become over the next eight years. I have become more than I could have hoped for. Kew College has made me who I am and without the teachers’ help and support I would never have run for House Captain and would never have won the election! They have inspired me to do more, for example I am now a Grade 3 flautist and have started piano lessons too. I still remember all of the trips throughout my years here; like Bowles, Bushcraft and France. I can see how my skills in all of my subjects have improved and I know I could never have done any of this without being at Kew College. Although it is hard to say goodbye I know that I have to, and I am looking forward to going to my new school, Hampton. Theo E 6T Seven years have flown by and I am now at the top of the school. I still remember my first day where I made my first friend. In the beginning, I was a shy girl but Kew College has given me confidence and resilience. From surviving in the wild to campaigning for a local charity, I have become mature and strong-willed. My friends and teachers have supported me throughout and prepped me extremely well for the exams. I will miss everything about Kew College. The tense elections, the exciting House events, the wonderful school trips, but most of all, the friendships I made there which I know will last for life. I will leave with a heavy heart but know that at Godolphin and Latymer School, I will create more memories with the respect and kindness I inherited from Kew College. Sanaya R-S 6T The welcoming royal blue double doors are my first memory of Kew College, having joined in Year 2. However, my lasting memory will be the fantastic and life-long friends I have made. My friends are, for me, the best thing about my school. Looking back at my time here, I have so many happy memories. I have loved all the sport at Kew College, particularly hockey and cricket , both of which are going to be useful at Kingston Grammar. The lessons also stand out as they are extremely interactive and every pupil has a chance to speak out and share their opinions. I have loved the trips, our plays and the energetic atmosphere in the school. Although I am excited and ready to move on to senior school, I know Kew College will always be in my heart. 40 Anna B 6G
