Year 6 6 Year Since I joined Kew College in Nursery, I have loved every day I have spent here. I still remember the Kindergarten trip to Pizza Express when I overloaded my pizza with cheese. The Infant years seemed to fly by and soon I was completing Comprehension tasks in Year 3. I had lots of fun at Bowles and loved acting in the Year 4 production of the Lion King. I will never forget fraction island maths and campfire songs at Hooke court. Now I am at my final year at Kew College and am sad to leave but hope I’ll have many new and exciting experiences at Latymer Upper School. Guy M 6T The eight years of Kew College have flown by and I have many friends and great memories. The residential trips have built on these. My favourite was canoeing in France. The great blue doors of Kew College have always welcomed me and the warm smiles of the teachers have helped me through the days. Yet soon I shall leave with pride and sadness for Kew has been a great school and has taught me so much. No matter what awaits me, Kew College will always have a special place in my heart. James G 6T My Kew College journey started in Year 3. Even though I didn’t start at the very beginning, I still felt welcomed into the school. I made new friends straight away and felt the warmth of the school atmosphere. We went on lots of trips, my favourites included Bowles, Bushcraft and France. My best memory was in France when we did the mud assault course and my shoes and socks flew off my feet when I dived into the mud - I laughed with excitement. From day one I wanted to be the Football Captain and to my delight, in Year 6 I became it. I love the feeling of helping my team and leading them to victory. My next school is St Benedict’s and I think Kew College has prepared me physically and mentally to take on new challenges in life. Thank you Kew College and goodbye. Samuel M 6G The eight years that I have been here at Kew College have been the happiest of my life. One of the best things about Kew College is its support of democracy and during my time I have been a Prime Minister, a House Captain, a JSO and a member of the School Council. Kew College has also cultivated my interest in the Arts, teaching me the importance of having a balance between work and play. The greatest thing about Kew College that I will miss is that it is so intimate and friendly. This means that everybody in the school knows each other, resulting in a close knit community. Next term I will be starting at St Paul’s Girls’ School and I will take with me a plethora of memories, from our Kindergarten trip to Bird World to rehearsals for the Year 6 play, the Jungle Book. Good bye Kew College, and thank you for everything. Laila 37
