Year 66

Year 66

From the day I walked through the huge blue door into Nursery , through to Year 6 , I have enjoyed every moment here at Kew College . All my friends have been really encouraging . Kew College has helped me achieve so much including gaining entry into my new school , Surbiton High School . I am looking forward to it . I will be very emotional leaving Kew College . I will miss the amazing teachers , my wonderful friends and most of all , the friendly atmosphere .

Kew College has prepared me for life from the first day in Nursery . I have been at this school for eight years and there has not been a dull moment . Next year I will be cast away to Ibstock Place School , where I will make some new friends . I have taken part in many residential trips from canoeing in a freezing lake in France to baking cakes at Hooke Court . I have loved every minute . I will miss all the friends I have made here and will leave Kew College knowing how much they have helped me .

Since I joined Kew College in Year 3 , every moment has been filled with excitement and fun . Some of the most memorable moments are the French Trip and Bushcraft . I am proud of going to the Surbiton Maths Challenge where my team came 2nd — the team could not have been any better , and we were supported passionately and enthusiastically by the school . It will be heart-breaking to leave all my amazing friends and all the special teachers , but most of all I will miss Kew College and its kind , unique atmosphere . However , I know that I have been well prepared for my next school : King ’ s College Wimbledon and that I will make many new friends .

There once was a girl at Kew College who was afraid to put up her hand in class . She was quiet and shy . Luckily , for her , she realised that this school was caring and kind and she did not need to be scared . She is now in her last year at Kew . She has made many friends and is confident because she feels like it is her second home . That girl is me . I have enjoyed all the school trips , especially Bushcraft and France , as I have learnt how teamwork can make a big difference . Now I can build rafts , make shelters , and almost bake . I have made so many friends and have memories that will last forever . I am sad to leave , but I am looking forward to spending the next few years in LEH .
