Year 5 Up and running The Mandir On arriving at the Mandir, the first thing that struck me was the beautifully hand crafted, creamy white marble building that was surrounded by an exquisite garden. Next to this was the magnificent wooden Haveli Cultural Centre. We took off our shoes and sat on an intricately designed woven carpet. The temple felt very tranquil and I was curious as to what was behind the mysterious oak doors. Aiyana B The calm, peaceful atmosphere of the Mandir enabled you to relax, open your mind and think. Amelia C We were greeted by the many shrines of the Hindu Gods dressed in lavish clothing. The cold marble floor and white stone pillars made were a spectacular sight. We wondered how carvings so detailed and intricate as this could ever be made. It was all so ornate and grand! Harriet D The Magical Fraction Islands A thrilling adventure in hot air balloons, submarines and Viking boats. In search of the knowledge of the 4 rules of fractions, we surfed in calm waters, hiked over rough mountains, escaped from an erupting volcano and shark invested waters. Maths can be such fun!
