Head’s Welcome It is an immense privilege to be part of this incredibly successful, happy school. Our children thoroughly enjoy coming to school where they learn skills that will support them throughout their lives. They are able to think critically, are inquisitive, reflective and well-rounded; true individuals who are prepared for the rigours of Secondary School and for the changing world in which they live. They grow to have a concrete sense of their own worth and a confidence that goes hand in hand with that, coupled with a sense of humility and open-mindedness. This is supported by our strong moral value system, embedded from an early age. It is wonderful to see our pupils take risks in their learning and to know that there are no limits to what they can achieve. This is nurtured by the relaxed but purposeful relationships that they have with our staff who encourage them to challenge themselves in all that they do. The results of the Year 6 entrance exams to Secondary School are testament to this. We are vey proud of our girls and boys -not only for their academic achievements but for all that they are: delightful, honest, hardworking, ambitious and fun- loving individuals who will go out into the world determined to do the best that they can in all walks of life. We all enjoy the exciting learning space afforded by our wonderful new building. I am pleased that we have managed to retain all that is dear to us at Kew College, including the warm ambience of the whole school. Our governors have supported us through another academic year with their selfless dedication to the school and we are grateful to them for their valuable contributions. KCF have seen the results of their financial endeavours to raise money for our new library come to fruition. It provides a paradise of tranquillity for children who want to bury their heads in a book or carry out research on an iPad. We truly appreciate the generosity and support of all our parents. I hope that you enjoy our Kew Review which will give you a glimpse of the many exciting things that we do and the wonderful, happy learning environment that we provide. Marianne Austin Head 2
