Year 3 After the campfire finished, we went to bed. I was excited to stay away from home at night because it was fun. We were all exhausted after our action- packed day. We went to sleep anticipating the fun we’d have the next day. Harrison J For me, the most memorable activity was the Zip Wire. I was first on and I was shaking with fear. When I jumped off the wooden platform I went incredibly fast. When I reached the end and re-joined my group, I encouraged them to be brave because it was scary. Jude L S After a delicious breakfast we were ready for our first activity of the day - sensory trail. We had to walk in the woods blindfolded, using our other senses. I was the leader of the line so it was my job to tell the people in the line behind me what was coming up next. This was an exercise in communication. Freya P One of the most thrilling activities was Aeroball. It was a mix of basketball and trampolining. I was with Jude and our team name was ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’. We played a tournament against other teams in our group to see who could shoot the most goals in the given time. Eloise T I felt the trip was so worthwhile. At times I felt terrified of the challenges and a bit sad that I was away from home. However, I felt amazing for overcoming my fears and experiencing new, exciting things. Most of the time I laughed with my friends and we helped each other. I learnt that having a go at something, even if it’s difficult and frightening, is worth doing. I am very proud of myself for what I have achieved. Clemmie S 23
